A Relationship Devolves

When I moved into my new apartment building, I applied for a unit on the top floor. Unfortunately, the manager had accidentally double-booked it. I settled for a third floor unit (in a four story building) and $1,000 off for my troubles. I was content.
On occasion, I can hear the people above me living their lives, but it doesn’t disturb me or keep me awake at night. In fact, I kind of like hearing the signs of life around me.

However, my roommate, Nina, has had a totally different experience.
After her first night in the apartment (She moved in after me.), I asked her how she slept. Turns out she was rudely awakened by the sex sounds of the couple above her. We laughed it off and thought nothing of it.
Until it happened again. And again. And again.
Every. Single. Night.
